The use of recycled building waste as a top layer reinforcement for epoxy

Epoxy matrix are indispensable in the field of modern lightweight structures, such as indoor and outdoor pavements for floors, therefore many attempts made to improve quality these epoxy floors. In this work two types building waste materials, represented by coarse fine aggregate addition ground glass, were applied a top layer mixed with coating. Hand lay-up method was used prepare specimens, which include one unreinforced specimen four other specimens coated above mentioned materials using brush. The influence additives tested mechanical properties (bending, compression impact) results showed an improvement Young’s modulus obtained through bending test glass (1711 1766 MPa respectively). compressive strength drop values after being while impact proved that has highest (0.014 0.0146 J/mm2 some could be beneficial specific others can’t serve reinforcement, use end product flooring purpose must optimized designed combine best possible combination floor coating materials.
